Jai Shri Ram Jaya Śrī Rāma is an expression in Indic languages, translating as "Glory to Lord Rama" or "Victory to Lord Rama". The proclamation has been used by Hindus as an informal greeting, as a symbol of adhering to Hindu faith, or for projection of varied faith-centered emotions.Odia Spiritual Book Ramacharita Manash
The expression was used by the Indian Hindu nationalist organisations Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and their allies, which embraced the slogan in the late 20th century as a tool of increasing the visibility of Hinduism in public spaces and went on to use it as a battle cry. The slogan has since then been employed for perpetration of communal violence against people of other faiths.
In Ramayana, when Sri Rama and Lakshamana went for 14 years of vanvaas then, Ayodhyaa was attacked 24 times by the nearby kingdoms. Who do you think protected Ayodyaa?
Ram and Lakshamana were away on Vanvaas.
Lord Shri Rama favoured the bow Kodanda. He has one of his names Kodandapani( the holder of Kodanda) to indicate exactly the same. The bow Sharanga was provided to him by Parashurama when he tried testing Rama’s greatness for breaking Pinakini, the bow of Shiva that was presented to Dasaratha. The greatness of Rama lied in the fact that he had a weapon forged on his name:- Rama Bana, which was as efficacious as the Pashupatastra. The uniqueness of this would be that it could’ve been used only by Rama himself.
I will update this answer one day with how Rama got his bow.
Sitapati Ramachandra ki Jai!
